A PHOTO TOUR AROUND MALAYSIA - 2005

CLICK! Magazine plans a nationwide photographic tour that will cover
all states in Peninsular Malaysia. This will be a series of event
happening in various states that will give participants an
opportunity to explore special places of interests. The 1st or
maiden destination for this event is a tour of Penang, starting in
June 2005.

A Tour of Penang
Objective :
This photo event is supported by the Penang State Government and the
main objective is to promote the tourism aspect of Penang through
digital photography. This state level event is an educational
holiday workshop on digital photography as a medium to promote and
encourage more people to visit Penang Island.

This 3 days' event will culminate with a digital photography
competition where the 1st Prize Winner will get a prize money of
RM5,000.00 with 2nd Prize at RM3,000.00 and 3rd Prize at RM2,000.00.
Consolation Prizes will be awarded to the next best 10 submissions
and each participant will be given a token of appreciation for their
participation.

The Penang State Government will organize a press conference and
issue an official press release to the local media to promote this
event for both pre & post announcement in major newspapers, TVs and
Radio.

Duration : 3 days 3 nights

Proposed Date : 3 to 5th June 2005 (School Holidays)

No. of Expected Participants : 150 people

Fee Per Participants: RM500 per person
Optional :
Transportation (KL to Penang & Return): RM85 per person

Primary Target Group: Age between 18 to 30 years old
Secondary Target Group: Family

8.00am to 9.00am : Registration & Grouping of Participants

9.00am to 10.30am: Welcome/Orientation + Breakfast
Session on talk on Penang & its places of
interest
Slideshows to stir interest & lift
expectation.

10.30am to 12noon: Introduction to Digital Photography
(Resolution, Format, Features, Exposure, Functions)

12noon to 2.00pm: Lunch at Hotel

2.00pm to 5.00pm: One Group to : Peranakan Penang (75 heads)
One Group to : Khoo Kongsi

5.30pm to 6.30pm: Session on Night Photography

6.30pm ? 9.30pm: Boat ride out of Penang to view sunset &
Penang Bridge's span.
Dinner served on Boat.

9.30pm to 10.00pm: A glimpse of Penang Town at night.

10.00pm to 10.30pm: Back to Hotel

11.00pm to 12am: Participant's Involvement in Downloading the
day's work

Briefing Session on Street Photography

8.00am to 9.30am: Trishaw ride @ port round / Fort Cornwallis

10.00am to 11.00am: Back to Hotel for session ( Macro /
landscape Photography )

11.00am to 11.30am: Journey to spice garden

11.30am to 1.00pm: Photo Shoot @ the Spice Garden

1.00pm to 2.00pm: Lunch at the Spice Cafe

2.00pm to 2.30pm: Down to Hotel .

2.30 pm to 5.00pm : Photo editing ; Photo touch up ; downloading
for project
completion & submission for photo competition.

5.30pm to 6.30pm: Journey up to Penang Hill.
(via Tram & via route from Botanical Garden )

6.30pm to 7.00pm: exploration on Penang Hill.

7.00pm to 8.30pm: Farewell Dinner & SLIDE SHOW OF
PARTICIPANT'S WORK . Appreciation.

8.30pm to 9.30pm: Back to hotel .



DAY THREE


8.00am to 9.00am: Breakfast

9.00am to 10.00am: Awards giving. ( Prize Giving )

11.30am: Participants' check-out of hotel
