Thank you dR ali IB Resources for selecting my picture.

For the next challenge, I selected a theme that is really international. Fotopages unites a lot of people all around the world. A keen eye for photography is something we all have in common, for the rest there are a lot of differences.

One of these differences is religion. Although, is it a difference? Aren't we all looking for an answer to mayor questions for mankind like: why are we living, what happens to us when we die, ... .

I respect a person far too much that I should accept that only the leading religion in the country where I live has the single answer to these questions. Everybody has the right to find out what is the right answer for him/her.

So this photo challenge is also about tolerance. We all live together here our our "second life" on fotopages and accepting (enjoying) the differences there are. That's something beautiful about an international community.

So the theme of the next photo challenge is: religion. Show me something about it (it hasn't to be yours if you have any). Only one question: don't post only pictures about marriages, there are a lot of other things to show to the world.

The rules remain the same:

1. post your (= taken by yourself) picture(s) on your fotopage, copy the direct link to your photo(s) and post it here (only pictures posted on Fotopages will be taken into account);
2. make sure it has at least something to do with the theme in some way;
3. no limit on how many photos, but put them in the same post;
4. at the end of the week the person that chose the theme this time around gets to pick the person to choose the next weeks theme. There are no winners...this will just be the starter of the next weeks topic.

If you're the winner please post as fast as possible the new challenge (I'll post a comment on your fotopage too).

This week's challenge will be due this Sunday, June 3rd, 2007 23:59 hrs GMT.

Ronald.

this is mine: http://fatimasha.fotopages.com/

not a lot, but enough to demonstrate the theme for the week ( i hope)

the topic is good. agree. there were many incidents (bad & good) happened during my stay in abroad. there were conversation about religion. my classmates were good in maintaining a healthy conversation as long as it is not too heat up by any sensitive issues. my anglo friends, most of them are concerned about the scarf. as they arent wearning one. answer from a child could be hillarious too. "i usually cover my hair after bath", innocent-looking face.

One uniqueness about Malaysia...religious freedom where people of other faith have the freedom to carry out their religious rites without fear.

Here's my entry:

See the fotopage entry here

All in favour of the ammended rule 1 - i.e pics must be posted on fotopages.
Would also like ammendment to rule 4. Agree with no limit on number of pics entered but think only ONE should be posted in the topic and the rest should be links. It gets tedious scrolling through endless pics and as long as there are links you can always go to the fotopage to see the rest if you want to. What do other photo challengers think?

Cheers.

Congrats to buron for choosing such a sensitive topic, finally something interesting! Big green

Here's something interesting: two religions joined together. A crescent with a cross.
