Photo Challenge #115: Accidentally Astonishing

First of all, thank you domo arigato terima kaseh to nimkphomaniax for choosing me! You have just made my cold, rainy day turn sunny and beautiful

I looked through the past themes of #114 down to #48 (somehow, I couldn't find the rest ). And I came up with this idea.

As a Lomographer, I believe that pictures don't have to be "technically perfect" to be beautiful.

There must have been days when you pressed the shutter accidentally or forgot to change the white balance and aperture or even forgot to look through the viewfinder. So, look for those shots that you think a professional or photography lecturer or camera instructor might not accept as a good result.

Let us see those pictures that turned out astonishing..accidentally.

Of course, pictures taken with any camera are welcomed, especially Lomography cameras.

Then, there are the rules :

1. post your (= taken by yourself) picture(s) on your fotopage, copy the direct link to your photo(s) and post it here.
2. make sure it has at least something to do with the theme in some way.
3. no limit on how many photos, but put them in the same post.
4. at the end of the week the person that chose the theme this time around gets to pick the person to choose the next weeks theme. There are no winners... this will just be the starter of the next weeks topic.

gamba yg first nih aku nak cepat shoot askar tuh so terlupe adjust shutter....in the end overexposed tp nmpak kinda cool 2 me lar...yg sbelah dier lak terlaju sgt...apeda!!

This piece was taken in Sri Lanka. This is the first romantic couple I've seen throughout my stay there. Upon seeing them, I quickly took out my camera and snap while my eyes are focussing on the couple. I'm just afraid that when they see me snapping them, they'll chase me with a parang.. Who knows right?? I thought the picutre would turn out shaky but when I playback, I find that the photo turns out beyond expectation.

Sunday is groceries day at Jelita Cold Storage and look what I saw! A SQUARE Watermelon and it cost SGD50 bucks! I don't have my camera with me so took a snapshot with my Nokia 7370

Since young we were taught in school that watermelon is round in shape..., hehe maybe we should start revising our schoolbooks that watermelons comes in both shapes of round and square.



Spotted your photo challenge this week is Astonishing... it may not be near your theme... but if it is not astonishing, it was a surprise to me! And I wanted to share this with all!

I'm really enjoying these callenges. Anyways, here's my entry. Was shot at the Zoo Negara, December last year. I was snapping continous shots of this tiger, and was happily surprised to see I actually caught a shot of him sticking his tounge out. =]

I was at a miniature park trying to compose a photo of this mini train station... Then! suddenly! ACCIDENTALLY!!!... this little girl came barging into the rail-track. I was very lucky to capture the moment. She was very quickly pulled away by her mum phew...
