We will soon be starting to build an all new version of Fotopages and so this forum is for you to let us know which features you would most like to see. These can be features in the existing system which you like and want to see again in the new version or they can be completely new features.

In general the new version will be more social, have a simpler easy to use interface, faster page loads and overall a better experience for members and visitors.

Make sure to look through existing topics in this forum to see if your feature has already been posted - if it has then just post a reply to that topic (also vote if it is a poll) so we can see which feature requests are most popular. If you find no existing topic for your feature then post a new topic - you could even post it as a poll so others can vote on it.

Please note that requesting a feature here does not mean we will implement it in the new fotopages but we will take it into consideration. Some features may not be doable now for technical or other reasons. Some features may be added in future, after the new version has launched and some may not be added at all.

Just wondering how we all could at least make this little photo challenge which in a way motivates especially amature photographer alike myself to be more organized...

Points to ponder...
1. Contest running time-frame (extend to 2weeks?)
2. How or what to do when there are some who joins by posting their entries BUT NEVER BOTHER to check back and then choosen as the winner and it takes 1 month for the new theme to be posted... occassionally ADMIN had to steps in and makes these contest continues by setting the new theme... THANKS ADMIN
3. Winners' Award? Perhaps the admin could somehow workout some point systems for the selected winner which could be a special colour theme for their webpage just to be different from the normal basic setting webpage layout/theme as a motivating gift/award to the Winners.

A special gift for the founder of this photo contest...
This Photo Challenge was started by Liz Moody (US) on Nov 22nd 2003! Starting with the theme : FOOD. And this challenge had been active til today for 5years 5months!

Well said Felixheng and I couldn't agree with you more. This could be a main attraction to the amateur photographers like me and I am also very new and amateur in using this website. I am still blur on how to participate in the competition. How do I submit my photos the easiest way and how to check the winning entry. Should the winning entry pops up on your homepage onbce we log in to your website?

The editor should add a feature in the homepage showing the winning entry and the winners are given special coverage in any manner deemed fit.

I could see many uploaded photos are purely looking for cheap and easy advertisements rather than promoting the art of photography. I could learn many new techniques of photography from some of the good photographers. Well done. Is there any mean to curb these malpractices?

The website should also be very educational. Someone with a vast knowledge of photography like Felixheng for example should be invited to contribute in whatever topic they specialized in.

My special thanks to the editor and the team

ABDUL WAHID Wink
